(More customer reviews)AMI tries to be all things to all modelers. It very often succeeds. Like all model mags, it emphasizes RC but it also covers Free Flight and Control Line. Here you'll find coverage like the old Aeromodeler, which has been incorporated into AMI.
I especially enjoy the old timer column, written by a guy in Australia. He manages to present lots of models, contests and engine reviews. Last year at the SAM [Society of Antique Modelers] Champs at Las Vegas, I met him taking pictures. In the spring of 2008, I found pictures of me and my models in his column in AMI. This brings out the international element nicely: guy from Australia takes pictures of me from Arizona in Nevada and the pictures appear in a UK magazine.
