(More customer reviews)I know this is a review for the mag - but so many comments on magazines are complaining about their arrival time (this one too) that it may be useful - ordered 4/11/08 - delivery estimate 7/11/08. First magazine arrived 5/5/08 - e.g. less than a month after ordering!
I have had Family Fun in the past. It is a really nicely done (Disney owned) magazine - hence the re-order. The one thing I like about this magazine is that you do not have to be rich to utilize most of their suggestions/ideas. The crafts are cute and usually realistic for the recommended ages. There are often ideas that are suitable for the whole 3+ family. Many issues have spotlights on travel and things to visit - they change location and don't focus on all the hot spots all the time. For instance, I learned about Safari West - a Safari "zoo" near Santa Rosa, CA - not exactly a typical tourist trap (at least for kids). It does have a Disney slant - which can be a good thing (wholesome etc...) but don't expect a great deal of focus on diversity or multicultural suggestions (e.g. activities/places to visit). Look at this magazine basically true to its title - focusing on things families can do together.
