(More customer reviews)I ordered this item for my dad for Christmas, as he was in need of something for his "stuff". I thought it looked great in the picture, especially for the price, and I liked the idea of having the option of the drop leaf. When it arrived at my house, I never opened the box, just wrapped it up and brought it over for Christmas. Well, when he opened it on Christmas day, I must say I was thoroughly embarrassed! The item was scratched in many places, looked extremely cheap and even had a chunk of the wood missing out of it! I would love to say that all of these damages happened in transit, but I believe that was very unlikely because it was actually wrapped and packed quite well. Which is even more upsetting that they would send this item out in the condition it was in! I called Amazon to find out about getting a replacement, which they did, but the second one was only a bit better. I let my dad decide if he wanted to keep it, otherwise I would have demanded a full refund. He chose to keep it based on the fact that he liked the "idea" of the product, but I would be very cautious when ordering a furniture item from Amazon again!
